It’s been a year since VanKit first went live. This update marks a big step forward, with several new foundational features now part of the app.
I’ve reworked the app to use a tab-based structure, making it clearer and easier to move between the main areas as VanKit grows.
The new tabs are Van, Events, and Packing Lists. These are going to change again in an upcoming version, as I move towards the four future pillars of the app.
Van-Friendly Events
Events are now live in the app!
You can browse a list of upcoming van-friendly events and head straight to their official pages for more details and to get tickets. It brings everything into one place and makes it easier to see what’s coming up.
Do you know about one we’ve missed? We will soon be accepting user-submitted events, but in the meantime please reach out to hello@vankit.app.
Checklists
Checklists are a part of VanKit, starting with packing lists.
You can create your own lists, tick items off, reorder them, rename them, and delete them. It covers everything you need to get organised before heading out.
Maintenance
Maintenance tracking remains a core part of the app.
You can log and manage key information about your van, now integrated into the updated structure so everything sits together more cleanly.

I’m now getting everything ready for Van Life Festival 2026 and looking forward to seeing you there.
There are many more features planned, including more structural foundational work, and enhancing the existing features.
